The methodology

Teachers will learn in small groups of 2-5 colleagues, meeting once a week for 4 weeks. Sessions are 1.5 hours and can be in-person or online.

Course syllabus

Session 1: Understanding EQ in the Classroom

  • Explore the components of emotional intelligence and their role in teaching
  • Analyze common emotional triggers in classroom scenarios
  • Begin identifying personal strengths and areas for growth in EQ

Session 2: Practicing Emotional Intelligence in Action

  • Record and share short teaching interactions for peer feedback
  • Practice identifying and managing emotional responses in real time
  • Reflect as a group on emotional dynamics and communication strategies

Session 3: Applying EQ Strategies to Real Challenges

  • Tackle real emotional classroom challenges in small groups
  • Collaborate on solutions and role-play EQ responses
  • Share insights and strategies to deepen practical understanding

Session 4: EQ Growth and Accountability

  • Design a personalized EQ improvement plan aligned with teaching goals
  • Choose an accountability partner for continued reflection and feedback
  • Celebrate growth and commit to ongoing EQ development
