About the course
This educational leadership course offers school leadership teams practical tools to address the challenges of contemporary education. The program combines reflection and action to develop adaptive leadership competencies in changing educational environments. Through four collaborative sessions, participants will explore methodologies to identify opportunities for improvement, understand the current educational context, implement shared leadership models, and design concrete and measurable action plans to transform their educational institutions.

You will join a group of 2 to 5 colleagues, and as a group, you will meet 4 times, either in person or online, at a time you all agree on.

Course syllabus
Session 1: Change Based on Questions and Experiences
- • Reflective methodologies to identify areas for improvement and their impact on the educational environment
- • Process of self-knowledge and personal transformation as leaders of change
- • Articulation of institutional change purposes based on evidence and experience
Session 2: The Contemporary Educational Environment
- • Analysis of the work climate and regulatory framework that governs current school education
- • Theoretical perspectives and contributions from specialists on educational management
- • Diagnosis of current needs and characteristics of students and families
Session 3: Leadership in Times of Uncertainty
- • Adaptive leadership models and strategies to lead transformation processes
- • Implementation of shared and distributed leadership practices
- • Self-diagnosis and development of personal leadership profile
Session 4: Action Plans for Change
- • Design of contextualized strategic plans with short, medium, and long-term initiatives
- • Techniques for adapting change proposals to specific institutional realities
- • Implementation of indicators and methodologies for effective measurement of results and impact
Meet the instructor

Lorna Prado Scott
Distinguished Chilean educator, recognized for her leadership as director of Santiago College (2003-2024). Graduate of the University of Chile with a master's degree in educational administration and management from Universidad Mayor. The first woman and Latin American to chair the Board of Trustees of the Council of International Schools (CIS). Her legacy focuses on promoting excellent bilingual and multicultural education.
